Job Overview

CB Canada is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join our team in Brampton. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our tooling and die-making processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and conduct work safely in compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of all equipment and machinery related to tool and die making.
  • Build new tooling and fixtures, and try out new tooling and engineering changes, with minimal supervision.
  • Meet scheduled dates set by the Toolroom Supervisor or Toolroom Team Leader.
  • Carry a company-supplied communication device during scheduled shifts to ensure support for production.
  • Commit to continuous improvement, both in tools and processes.
  • Train apprentices in all aspects of tool and die making and safety.
  • Exemplify an attitude of good housekeeping, safety, company policies, and teamwork.
  • Make informed decisions based on production demands and the company's best interests.
  • Work within the guidelines of the Deco Employee Handbook.
  • Participate in lean manufacturing and 5S concepts.
  • Commit to continuous improvement and workplace safety.
Requirements
  • Licensed Tool and Die Maker.
  • 5 years of Tool Room experience.
  • A working knowledge of both English and Mathematics.
  • Physical capability to perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Ability to perform all assigned tasks related to Tool and Die.
  • Flexibility on work hours and shifts.
  • Proficiency in the use of all Toolroom equipment and related measuring equipment.
