POSITION SUMMARY
The Retail Team Leader plays a crucial role in assisting the Store Leadership Team during the absence of a manager on the sales floor. The primary responsibilities of the Retail Team Leader include overseeing store personnel, ensuring exceptional customer interaction, and driving sales. This position embodies the brand, operates with professionalism, engages with customers, upholds store standards, and fosters teamwork.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a key holder role within a retail environment is preferred.

• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.

• Availability to work weekends (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday).

• Commitment to two store closing shifts per week, including one on Friday or Saturday.

• Proficient in using retail POS systems and inventory scanners.

• Capability to handle cash transactions accurately.

• Ability to execute detailed tasks and projects with minimal supervision.

• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate positive working relationships.

• Completion of the Retail Team Leader training program within three months.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Requires the ability to lift large and heavy packages and boxes frequently and to engage in a continuous process of loading and unloading items throughout a scheduled shift.

• Must be able to reach overhead, bend, kneel, and carry products, which is essential for customer service, inventory restocking, processing shipments, and store merchandising.

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods.

• Must be capable of safely lifting up to 50 lbs. without restrictions.

• Regularly perform store maintenance tasks: sweeping, vacuuming, emptying trash, and cleaning.

• Ability to use and climb ladders and/or step stools.

• Requires the ability to perform repetitive motions (e.g., hanging, folding, ringing up customers).

• Must exercise caution when interacting with challenging customers and avoid confrontations.

• The noise level in the work environment is typically moderate to loud.

• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assists Store Management in maximizing sales potential by maintaining a constant presence on the sales floor and setting the pace and energy while ensuring brand integrity.

• Responsible for holding store keys to open and close without management as necessary.

• Ensures that customer service remains the top priority and collaborates with Sales Associates to achieve sales goals and KPIs.

• Manages break schedules and ensures that all areas are adequately staffed.

• Provides timely feedback, coaching, and redirection in key areas of customer engagement, sales techniques, and sales floor etiquette.

• Assists in maintaining company standards for merchandise presentation, signage, and displays.

• Escalates performance issues to the Store Manager.

• Motivates and inspires associates to foster brand loyalty and create a positive store atmosphere for both internal and external customers.

• Assists with store security, including checking bags and monitoring fitting rooms.

• Ensures that store staff are treated with professionalism, courtesy, and respect.

• Responsible for processing return/exchange transactions, authorizing promotional discounts, and employee sales in the absence of a manager.

• Adheres to and ensures compliance with all loss prevention policies.

• Possesses a comprehensive understanding of inventory management procedures.

• Represents the company in a professional and positive manner.
