Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre. As an Emergency Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and manage patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions, including trauma, cardiac, and medical emergencies.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions of care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Current Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Coronary Care Level 1 preferred.
  • Demonstrated competency in Arrhythmia interpretation.
  • Current BCLS.
  • ACLS course preferred.
  • TNCC course preferred.
  • PALS or ENPC course preferred.
  • Completion of ENCC or Emergency nursing certificate is considered an asset.
  • Participation in RNAO/ ENAO/ ENA preferred.
  • Two (2) years' experience in emergency or acute medical/surgical nursing preferred.
