About the Role

Momentum Logistics Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics operations, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation of Goods: Operate a straight or articulated truck to transport goods and materials across the country, adhering to all relevant regulations and safety protocols.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance.
  • Cargo Handling: Load and unload goods, and ensure the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
  • Customer Service: Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Logistics Coordination: Arrange travel, itineraries, and make reservations as needed to ensure smooth transportation operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Obtain special permits and documents required to transport cargo on international routes, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Teamwork: Work as part of a two-person team or convoy, and collaborate with other drivers and logistics staff to achieve team goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Certifications: Air Brakes Endorsement, Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Skills: Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, large workload, overtime required, physically demanding, repetitive tasks, sitting.
  • Personal Qualities: Efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player.
