Job Title: Long Haul Driver

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Driver to join our team at Ready to Haul Transportation Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials across various locations. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong navigation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Truck Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
  • Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Driver's License: Class 1 or A driver's license.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Work Setting: Various locations.
