Job Summary

Optimum Truck Lines Ltd is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation: Operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods and materials across the country, following established routes and schedules.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise during transportation.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the vehicle, ensuring it is in good working condition and adhering to safety standards.
  • Logistics: Plan and adjust routes as needed, using computer equipment and GPS to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Certifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Skills: Attention to detail, handling heavy loads, overtime required, physically demanding, and ability to work independently.
