Position Overview
We are seeking a Bilingual Claims Adjuster to become a vital part of our team at Crawford & Company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing minor claims through telephone inquiries and negotiating settlements while adhering to provincial licensing guidelines. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely within Atlantic Canada.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations, gather, and analyze claims data.
- Review insurance policies and resolve claims while ensuring compliance with provincial regulations.
- Maintain precise and comprehensive records of all claims activities.
- Ensure accurate billing documentation is kept up to date.
- Collaborate with management to foster strong client relationships.
Qualifications
- Completion of C11 - Principles and Practice of Insurance.
- Bilingual proficiency in French and English.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an insurance claims setting.
- Availability to work during Atlantic time hours.
- Familiarity with both commercial and personal lines in Property and Auto PD is advantageous.
- Capability to perform telephone investigations, assess, negotiate, and settle claims for both first and third parties.
- Skilled in maintaining accurate records of activities, transactions, and reserves.
- Proficient in using Office 365 and Windows 10.
- Exceptional communication abilities.
- A collaborative team player dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction.
