Job Summary

Crawford & Company is seeking a highly skilled Insurance Claims Adjuster to join our team in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating property and casualty claims, negotiating settlements, and maintaining excellent customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate property and casualty claims through thorough loss investigation and negotiation of settlements in accordance with provincial licensing requirements.
  • Interview claimants and witnesses to gather information and assess liability.
  • Obtain and review official documents to support claims.
  • Determine liability and make offers to claimants.
  • Issue cheques and dispose of salvage.
  • Pursue subrogation and maintain accurate records.
  • Present evidence at legal proceedings and maintain accurate billing and time records.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in an insurance environment.
  • Post-secondary education in an insurance-related field is an asset.
  • Licensed or working towards CIP designation.
  • Experience in road adjusting, including investigation and reporting of property and casualty claims.
  • Working knowledge of Xactimate and XactAnalysis required.
  • Bilingual in French is considered an asset.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
