Job Title: Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of our healthcare services.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a Master's degree in Nursing and be registered with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba. You will have a minimum of 3 years of acute care experience, preferably in an Emergency Department. Your expertise in suturing, interpreting X-ray/CT results, splinting, and casting will be valuable assets to our team.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced nursing care to patients, including health assessment, diagnostics, pharmacotherapeutics, and invasive and minor surgical procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines related to nursing practice.
  • Participate in education and research activities to advance nursing knowledge and practice.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to other healthcare professionals.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba.
  • Minimum 3 years of acute care experience, preferably in an Emergency Department.
  • Expertise in suturing, interpreting X-ray/CT results, splinting, and casting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
