Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at Asahiya Japanese Restaurant Inc. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Handling: Assist in the preparation and presentation of food, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Supply Management: Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
- Waste Management: Remove kitchen garbage and trash, and ensure that the kitchen is kept clean and free of clutter.
- Floor Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and stand for long periods.
- Personal Qualities: Team player, initiative, and a positive attitude.
- Experience: Willingness to train and learn new skills.
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Language: English.
