Chef Angelo is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting our chefs in preparing and serving high-quality meals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Wash and peel vegetables and fruits to ensure they are fresh and ready for cooking.
  • Wash and sanitize work tables, cupboards, and appliances to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Remove trash and clean kitchen garbage containers to prevent odors and pests.
  • Unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, cupboards, and other storage areas to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Sweep and mop floors, and perform other duties to assist the cook and kitchen staff in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using a dishwasher or by hand to ensure they are clean and sanitized.
  • Place dishes in storage areas to maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Scour pots and pans, and may clean and polish silverware to ensure they are in good condition.

Work Environment:

Chef Angelo is a fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work under pressure. As a Kitchen Helper, you will be expected to stand for extended periods, handle heavy loads, and perform repetitive tasks.

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
  • Excellent oral communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
