Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated LAN Support Technician to manage and optimize our network systems at 1722025 ALBERTA LTD.. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a commitment to ensuring seamless network operations.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years in network administration or equivalent experience
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs)
  • Provide effective problem-solving support to network users
  • Implement security protocols for data, software, and hardware
  • Conduct data backups and manage disaster recovery processes
  • Establish local area networks and ensure Internet connectivity
  • Utilize network monitoring software to enhance server performance and security
  • Modify and maintain web pages, applets, and scripts
  • Research and apply meta-data for website optimization and search engine registration
  • Assist website visitors and designers with inquiries
  • Perform backup and recovery operations for web servers
  • Offer technical and professional guidance
Technical Proficiencies
  • Familiarity with Linux operating systems
  • Proficient in networking software and hardware
  • Knowledge of networking security measures
  • Experience with Internet and extranet technologies
  • Competence in server management
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
  • Understanding of firewalls and social media platforms
