Network Administrator Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified individual for the position of Network Administrator at 1722025 ALBERTA LTD. This role requires a strong educational background and relevant experience in network management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee, troubleshoot, and manage local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and associated computer systems and peripherals.
  • Deliver effective problem-solving support to network users.
  • Establish and enforce data, software, and hardware security protocols.
  • Conduct data backups and implement disaster recovery strategies.
  • Configure local area networks and ensure Internet connectivity.
  • Utilize network traffic and security monitoring tools to enhance server efficiency.
  • Update and modify web pages, applets, and scripts as necessary.
  • Research and apply metadata for websites, ensuring proper registration with search engines.
  • Assist website visitors and designers by responding to inquiries and providing information.
  • Manage web server backup and recovery processes.
  • Offer technical and professional guidance to team members.
Technical Skills Required
  • Proficiency in Linux operating systems
  • Familiarity with networking software and hardware
  • Understanding of networking security measures
  • Experience with extranet and Internet technologies
  • Knowledge of server management
  • Competence in MS Office applications
  • Ability to work with spreadsheets and firewalls
