Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Administrator to join our team at 1722025 ALBERTA LTD. as a LAN (Local Area Network) Technician. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering the use of local area networks, wide area networks, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and Administer Network Systems
    • Ensure the smooth operation of local area networks, wide area networks, mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent network downtime
  • Provide Technical Support
    • Provide problem-solving services to network users
    • Respond to requests for help and information from network users
  • Implement Security Measures
    • Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures
    • Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
  • Set Up and Configure Network Systems
    • Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
    • Implement network traffic and security monitoring software
  • Perform Other Duties
    • Modify Web pages, applets, and scripts
    • Research and apply meta-data to Websites and register Websites with search engines
    • Perform Web-server backup and recovery operations
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in network administration
