Executive Chef

Opa Sushi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our dishes, ensuring that every meal meets our high standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, and inventory to optimize kitchen operations and minimize waste.
- Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure seamless execution of menu items and exceptional customer service.
- Develop and implement new menu items and specials to drive sales and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with our purchasing team to source high-quality ingredients and negotiate the best prices.
- Ensure that all kitchen staff adhere to our health and safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Work closely with our front-of-house team to ensure that every customer has a positive dining experience.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team.
- Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
