Job Description for Executive Chef

Opa Sushi is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and presentation of our dishes, ensuring exceptional quality and consistency.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to optimize kitchen operations.
  • Supervise and mentor specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement recipes, menus, and cooking techniques to enhance the dining experience.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to prepare and cook meals, ensuring timely delivery and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen equipment, supplies, and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Work closely with the management team to develop and implement menu changes, promotions, and special events.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role or equivalent experience.
Working Conditions:
  • Permanent position.
  • 35 hours per week.
  • English language required.
