Your Role

The senior analyst will play a pivotal role within the Financial Operations team, focusing on the assessment and enhancement of financial policies. This position involves recommending modifications to current policies, collaborating with Finance on accounting standards, and delivering training to support various business units. Key responsibilities also include conducting analyses, generating reports, and ensuring adherence to financial policies.

Location: Ottawa, Toronto, Montreal

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee financial policy assessments
  • Evaluate existing policies and propose necessary updates
  • Facilitate training and communication regarding policy modifications
  • Ensure compliance with policies and conduct follow-up audits
  • Compile quarterly analyses and reporting
  • Assist with corporate finance objectives

Requirements:

  • CPA designation or in progress
  • Bilingual in English and French
  • 3-5 years of experience in policy or finance
  • Familiarity with financial reporting, accounting standards, IFRS guidelines, and auditing practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP software
  • Excellent communication and technical writing abilities
