FACILITY OVERVIEW

NHH is situated approximately 100 kilometers east of Toronto and serves a vibrant community, providing a wide array of acute, post-acute, outpatient, and diagnostic services. We cater to a growing population of over 60,000 residents across urban and rural areas, employing around 750 staff members and benefiting from a supportive network of physicians, midwives, and volunteers.

ROLE SUMMARY

The selected candidates will fulfill the responsibilities outlined in the Registered Nurse position description, providing professional nursing care to assigned patients or groups of patients in accordance with the standards set by the College of Nurses.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Possession of a valid B.C.L.S. certification
  • Coronary Care 1 certification or willingness to obtain within six months is an asset
  • Ability to perform additional nursing skills as necessary
  • Previous experience in a medical/surgical unit is advantageous

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

Successful candidates must provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check completed within the last year from the date of hire, to be submitted within the first sixty (60) days of employment.

Additionally, candidates are required to complete the Health Care Worker Health review process, which includes submitting an up-to-date immunization record to comply with the Ontario Hospital Association Communicable Diseases Surveillance Protocols within the first thirty (30) days of employment. NHH enforces a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all staff.
