The Role
We are seeking a motivated and team-oriented professional to join our team as a Contracts Specialist. In this role, you will develop and implement processes and procedures for the effective negotiation and execution of capital expenditure project contracts. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to form contracts, ensuring process and procedures are effectively executed.
- Collaborate with end users to determine contracting type and strategy.
- Develop and initiate requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, and complete award yes.
- Follow Cameco's policies, standards, and codes.
- Liaise with stakeholders such as contracts administrators, procurement, construction, project management, and legal counsel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, law, or engineering.
- A minimum of five years of experience in supply chain management.
- A Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or another comparable designation.
- Experience in negotiating, developing, and executing large construction contracts.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
- Travel to Ontario and northern mine sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
