The Role
We are seeking a motivated, team-oriented professional to join our team as a Contracts Specialist. As a key member of our supply chain management team, you will develop and implement processes and procedures for the effective negotiation and execution of capital expenditure project contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to form contracts, ensuring process and procedures are effectively executed.
- Collaborate with end users to determine contracting type and strategy.
- Develop and initiate requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, and complete award yes.
- Follow Cameco's policies, standards, and codes.
- Liaise with stakeholders such as contracts administrators, procurement, construction, project management, and legal counsel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, law, or engineering.
- A minimum of five years of experience in supply chain management.
- A Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or another comparable designation.
- Experience in negotiating, developing, and executing large construction contracts.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered.
- Travel to Ontario and northern mine sites as needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP system.
