The Role
We are seeking a motivated, team-oriented professional to develop and implement processes and procedures for the effective negotiation and execution of capital expenditure project contracts. As a contracts specialist, you will work with stakeholders to ensure seamless contract execution, collaborate with end users to determine contracting type and strategy, and develop and initiate requests for proposals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement processes and procedures for contract negotiation and execution
- Collaborate with end users to determine contracting type and strategy
- Develop and initiate requests for proposals, evaluating proposals and completing award yes
- Ensure compliance with Cameco's policies, standards, and codes
- Liaise with stakeholders, including contracts administrators, procurement, construction, project management, and legal counsel
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in commerce, law, or engineering
- Minimum of five years of experience in supply chain management
- Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or comparable designation
- Experience in negotiating, developing, and executing large construction contracts
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Equivalent combination of education and work experience considered
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with SAP or similar ERP system
