Position Overview
Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is inviting dedicated and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) or Registered Psychiatric Nurses (RPNs) to join our esteemed Primary Care Team/Integrated Care Team. This role is pivotal in delivering outstanding healthcare services to our diverse clientele.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams to formulate holistic care strategies for clients facing intricate health challenges.
- Perform thorough physical and mental health evaluations, recognize concerns, and execute suitable interventions.
- Deliver direct patient care and assistance across various environments, including clinics and during home visits.
- Serve as a valuable resource for the team, providing nursing knowledge and support.
Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) in British Columbia.
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a community healthcare setting.
- Possession of a valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle.
Skills & Abilities
- In-depth understanding of community nursing principles and practices.
- Capacity to operate both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving capabilities.
- Experience with trauma-informed care and recovery-focused methodologies.
