Position Overview
Join the dedicated team at Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) in our Primary Care Team/Integrated Care Team. We are looking for a caring and proficient nursing professional to deliver outstanding health services to our community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to create thorough care strategies for clients with intricate health challenges.
- Perform comprehensive physical and mental health evaluations, recognize concerns, and apply suitable interventions.
- Deliver direct nursing care and assistance to clients across various environments, including clinics and home settings.
- Serve as a knowledgeable resource for the team, providing nursing insights and support.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Experience
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) in British Columbia.
- At least one year of relevant experience in a community healthcare environment.
- Possession of a valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle.
Essential Skills & Competencies:
- In-depth understanding of community nursing principles and practices.
- Capability to operate both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills.
- Experience with trauma-informed care and recovery-focused methodologies.
