Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ornamental Metal Worker to join our team at Summa Architectural & Structural Metal Inc.. This position is essential in the metal product fabrication industry, focusing on creating high-quality metal components.

QualificationsEducation
  • Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field
  • Equivalent experience may be considered
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in metalworking or related fields

  • Metal product fabrication industry
  • Structural steel fabrication company
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect products for accuracy in shapes, dimensions, and specifications
  • Maintain and lubricate machinery and equipment
  • Shape and form metal stock into parts or products through cutting, bending, rolling, and welding
  • Document completed work accurately
  • Set up and operate various metalworking machines
  • Utilize equipment to weld, solder, and fasten metal components
  • Interpret specifications and follow verbal instructions
  • Transport materials to the work area using appropriate methods
Equipment Proficiency
  • Experience with drills, lifting devices, and overhead cranes
  • Familiarity with power and punch presses, saws, and welding equipment
  • Proficient in using hand tools
Safety and Security
  • Must pass a criminal record check
  • Drug testing is required
