Key Responsibilities

As a skilled welder at Summa Metal, you will be responsible for drafting, assembling, and welding wrought metals. You will read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and symbols to ensure accurate and efficient production.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Reading and interpreting technical plans and specifications
  • Knowledge of trigonometry and geometry to ensure accurate measurements and calculations
  • Expertise in staircase and railing design to create complex metal structures
  • Experience in manufacturing complex architectural metals, including steel, aluminum, and stainless steel
  • Experience in architectural stainless steel polishing to achieve high-quality finishes
  • Education: Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) or equivalent
  • Years of experience: 5 years of experience in a related field
  • Languages: English and French (spoken and written)
  • Other languages: Spanish, an asset
