Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Ornamental Metal Worker to join our team at Summa Architectural & Structural Metal Inc.. This is a permanent position with a focus on precision and quality in metal product fabrication.

QualificationsEducation
  • Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field
  • Equivalent experience may be considered
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in metalworking or a related industry
Work Environment
  • Metal product fabrication industry
  • Structural steel fabrication setting
Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect products for accuracy in shape, dimensions, and specifications
  • Maintain and lubricate machinery and equipment
  • Shape and form metal stock into components through cutting, bending, rolling, and welding
  • Document completed work accurately
  • Set up and operate various metalworking machines
  • Utilize equipment for welding, soldering, and fastening metal parts
  • Interpret specifications and follow verbal instructions
  • Transport materials to the work area using manual or mechanical means
Equipment Proficiency
  • Experience with drills, lifting devices, and overhead cranes
  • Familiarity with power and punch presses, saws, and welding equipment
  • Proficient in using hand tools
Safety and Security
  • Must pass a criminal record check
  • Drug testing is required
Transportation
  • Public transportation options are available
Physical Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Manual dexterity is essential
