About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team at One New Zealand in Newmarket. As a key member of our Frontline team, you'll work closely with the Retail Lead and Area Lead to support a team of Customer Champions within a Retail Store.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coaching and mentoring the Customer Champions, enabling them to work towards Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). You'll also support the Retail Lead in leading the team, ensuring customers are satisfied with their One New Zealand Retail experience, and delivering sales numbers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Retail Lead to lead a team of Customer Champions
  • Work closely with the Retail Lead, Area Lead, Market Lead, HRBP, and People & Planning to ensure employee resource requirements are met
  • Ensure customers are completely satisfied with their One New Zealand Retail experience
  • Deliver sales numbers
  • Work closely with the Retail Lead and Talent Acquisition team to recruit new team members
  • Ensure the growth and development of your team in conjunction with the Retail Lead and Enablement team
  • Work with the Retail Lead to ensure the operational running of the store
Requirements
  • Retail or Telecommunications experience is preferred
  • Experience working to Sales targets
  • Strong customer service or complaints management experience
  • At least 6-12 months of experience coaching, mentoring, or managing others
  • Comfortable working rotational shifts, including evenings and weekends

Please note that this role is based at our Westfield Newmarket store in Tamaki Makaurau. Your roster will include Thursday and Friday late nights, weekends, and public holidays.
