Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Elementary Long Term Occasional Teacher to join our team at the York Region District School Board. As a Long Term Occasional Educator, you will be responsible for teaching Grade 7/8 students in a homeroom setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of Grade 7/8 students
  • Develop and implement assessments to measure student progress
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a positive learning environment
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must be a member in good standing or in the process of becoming Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) qualified with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) prior to the start date.
