Job Title: Secondary Long Term Occasional Teacher

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Secondary Long Term Occasional Teacher to join our team at the York Region District School Board.

About the Role:

This is a long-term occasional teaching position in a secondary school setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of subjects to students in grades 9-12.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach a range of subjects to students in grades 9-12
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
Requirements:
  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification
  • Experience teaching in a secondary school setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
