Job Title: French as a Second Language (FSL) Teacher - Long-Term Occasional (LTO)

York Catholic District School Board is seeking a qualified French as a Second Language (FSL) Teacher to join our team on a long-term occasional (LTO) basis.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate FSL teacher to provide high-quality education to our students. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching French as a Second Language to students in grades K-8.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach French as a Second Language to students in grades K-8
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching practices
Requirements:
  • Valid Ontario teaching certification
  • Experience teaching French as a Second Language in an elementary setting
  • Strong knowledge of French language and culture
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
