Job Description

At the York Region District School Board, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Secondary Long Term Occasional Teacher to join our team. As a Long Term Occasional Teacher, you will have the opportunity to work with students in a dynamic and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach a variety of subjects to students in a secondary setting
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and deliver curriculum
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff
Requirements:
  • Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification
  • Strong teaching and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced learning environment
