Temporary Position - potential for permanence

OVERVIEW

In the role of Activities and Programs Coordinator, you will be responsible for the planning, coordination, and management of diverse cultural outreach and engagement initiatives throughout the Laval area, particularly focusing on the Eastern sector. You will be instrumental in the establishment of the new performance venue at the Confluents Citizens' Space. Your duties will encompass maximizing the utilization of human, material, and financial resources entrusted to you.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline
  • Two (2) years of pertinent experience in the arts and culture sector, specifically in organizing and implementing cultural engagement activities
  • Adaptable with a background in cultural programming and outreach across various artistic fields
  • Knowledgeable about audience development dynamics and challenges, particularly in relation to the launch of a new cultural facility
  • Proficient in establishing and nurturing partnerships, especially with community organizations
  • Well-organized, self-motivated, proactive, capable of working independently as well as collaboratively
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle

Work Schedule: 33.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday, typically from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience
