About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at Domtar. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for maximizing sales, profitability, growth, and market penetration in a vast territory located in the province of Quebec, mostly in the Montreal area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with existing customers or prospects in their designated territory to generate sales.
  • Meet or exceed Ariva's strategic objectives with professionalism while adhering to Domtar's values: agility, caring, innovation.
  • Expand existing territory by opening new accounts or developing inactive or non-existent accounts.
  • Develop and manage an action plan to ensure objectives are met. The SMART strategy is used to develop this action plan.
  • Prepare and submit activity and results reports.
  • Analyze current product offering and value-added products for existing or potential customers within their territory and determine value to the organization.
  • Resolve issues following customer complaints after investigation, elaboration of solutions, preparation of reports while working in close collaboration with our suppliers.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with Customer Service, Marketing, Sales Management, Warehouse, Logistics, and Credit departments.
  • Work closely with the Customer Service and Merchandising teams to ensure that they are adequately informed about customer profiles, ongoing inquiries, and product offerings, while providing a high level of support and maintenance of our day-to-day operations.
Requirements
  • University degree or equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of sales experience.
  • Effective communication, conflict resolution, and time management skills.
  • Dedicated individual looking to develop through in-depth training, and to grow and develop within the company.
  • Team player, customer-oriented, problem-solving skills, business acumen.
  • Professionalism, leadership, change management, and influencing skills.
  • Bilingualism, both written and spoken.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite programs.
