Compensation and Work Schedule:
  • Annual salary of $65,000
  • Standard workweek from Monday to Friday, with flexibility for events
  • Office-based position
Key Responsibilities:
  • Designing, implementing, and managing preventative social service initiatives tailored to local residents
  • Overseeing daily operations of the FCSS, including staff and volunteer management
  • Representing the FCSS program at various community events and meetings
  • Providing direct support to the community, ensuring accessibility and awareness of programs
  • Creating and delivering social programs based on community needs
  • Encouraging community participation in social initiatives
  • Monitoring program compliance, budgets, and funding
  • Reporting on program outcomes to ensure alignment with objectives
  • Researching and applying for external funding opportunities
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in community outreach or social program development
  • Post-secondary education in Human Services or related field
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in budget management and reporting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must provide a clean Criminal Record Check, including Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Residence in the local area
  • Experience in a supervisory role
  • Background in working with vulnerable populations
