Job Title: Social Development Supervisor

Join the Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo as a Social Development Supervisor and play a key role in leading and supervising community services programs, initiatives, and projects. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the work practices and procedures of the Social Development branch, including human resource management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and mentor team members to ensure they are managed fairly and consistently.
  • Participate in the continuous research, improvement, and implementation of effective departmental strategies.
  • Engage in community consultation to collaborate with stakeholders regarding social issues.
  • Prepare and monitor related budgets.
  • Write and review reports necessary for funding obligations with both the Provincial and the Federal governments.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Science, Humanities, or related discipline.
  • Seven (7) years of progressive experience in a community services, social program role.
  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience as a supervisor/leader.
