Occupational Therapist - Lifemark Health Corp.

Status: Part-time

We are currently seeking a Part-Time Occupational Therapist for our Occupational Rehabilitation Program who embodies this commitment.

Your Responsibilities:

  1. Conducting assessments of clients' physical and cognitive capabilities within a clinical environment, including job demands analyses and functional capacity evaluations.
  2. Developing and executing personalized treatment strategies based on thorough analysis and clinical judgment.
  3. Providing education to clients on safe body mechanics, cognitive behavioral techniques, and activities to enhance functional tolerance.
  4. Facilitating return-to-work initiatives, including job coaching and accommodation suggestions.
  5. Utilizing electronic charting systems to document treatment sessions and ensuring timely report submissions to relevant stakeholders.
  6. Engaging in case conferences and managing case details.
  7. Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team at your facility.
  8. Overseeing Occupational Therapy students, as preferred.
  9. Building relationships with stakeholders to promote Lifemark's OT services.
  10. Managing a diverse caseload in a dynamic setting.

Qualifications:

  1. Active registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
  2. Experience in treating clients with physical, neurological, or mental health challenges.
  3. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  4. Commitment to ongoing professional development post-graduation.
  5. Experience with auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSBC referrals is advantageous.
  6. Experience in occupational rehabilitation is a plus. New graduates are encouraged to apply.
  7. A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
