Job Summary:

Lifemark is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in Surrey, BC. As a key member of our Occupational Rehabilitation Program, you will play a vital role in helping clients achieve their goals and regain independence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' physical and cognitive functioning to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address clients' needs and goals.
  • Provide education and training to clients on topics such as safe body mechanics, cognitive behavioral strategies, and functional tolerance activities.
  • Support clients in returning to work through job coaching and accommodation recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the inter-professional team to ensure seamless care and support.
  • Supervise Occupational Therapy students and participate in case conferences and case management.

Requirements:

  • Registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Previous experience treating clients with physical, neurological, and/or mental health conditions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated commitment to post-graduate professional development.
  • Previous experience supporting auto insurance, long-term disability, and WSBC referrals is an asset.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
