Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Operator to join our team at Manpower Services Canada Limit. This role involves the transportation of goods while ensuring safety and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
  • Experience: 1 to 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service with professionalism.
  • Efficiently load and unload cargo.
  • Manage financial transactions related to goods.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle before, during, and after trips.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch regarding operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping techniques.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Air Brakes Endorsement required.
  • Class 3/3F/DF License for vehicles with more than 3 axles.
Documentation Skills
  • Proficient in maintaining driver logbooks.
  • Experience in preparing trip reports.
Type of Equipment
  • Experience with roll-off trucks is an asset.
Travel Experience
  • Local travel required.
Safety and Security Requirements
  • Must pass a criminal record check.
  • Driving record check (abstract) is mandatory.
Physical Demands
  • Attention to detail is crucial.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Willingness to work under large workloads and overtime.
  • Physical stamina for repetitive tasks and prolonged sitting.
Weight Handling
  • Must be able to lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
Work Environment
  • Temporary work term.
  • Work language: English.
  • Expected hours: 40 to 44 hours per week.
