About the Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Shannex Incorporated. As a key member of our operational support team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient delivery of goods and supplies to our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload trucks with distribution carts in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Document and cross-check each load to ensure all destination facilities are accounted for.
  • Operate a 5-ton truck with due care to ensure timely, safe, and consistent delivery.
  • Pack green boxes appropriately before loading onto the truck.
  • Porter carts from trucks to each facility's receiver kitchen and store in an orderly manner.
  • Collect soiled carts for return to production kitchen and compile requisition forms and QA forms as directed.
  • Maintain the truck in peak operating condition and perform routine maintenance functions.
  • Ensure the truck and receiving area at central site are clean, tidy, and sanitary.
  • Take every reasonable precaution to protect your health and safety and the health and safety of others at or near the workplace.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum of Grade 12 education.
  • Food Safety Training or equivalent.
  • A Class 5 driver's license with Air Brakes.
  • A clear driving abstract.
  • The ability to competently operate a 5-ton truck.
  • The ability to carry out routine maintenance and general upkeep for a 5-ton truck.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently.
