Qualifications and Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Child Development Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution and be registered with the BC College of Social Workers.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience working in a developmental pediatric setting or a related field, with a strong understanding of Family-Centered practice and community agencies. They will also have knowledge of acute healthcare, community living services, and regional Ministry of Child & Family Development environments, as well as relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues
  • Collaborate with others to achieve shared goals
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Apply facilitation techniques and assessment skills
  • Operate related equipment and maintain physical ability to perform duties
  • Travel may be required, and transportation arrangements must meet operational requirements
