Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and mentor junior estimating personnel.
  • Coordinate sub-contractor quotes upon successful bids, revising binders and aiding in the buy-out process.
  • Oversee project success, identifying potential challenges and nurturing relationships with sub-trades for future prospects.
  • Disseminate sub-trade quotes to relevant personnel, highlighting areas of concern and collaborating with management to address risks within the bid pricing.
  • Maintain comprehensive databases, including labor rates, material costs, and project expenditures for future reference.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in ICI estimating or a comparable mix of technical training and experience.
  • Advanced understanding of corporate objectives influencing estimating, estimating strategies and techniques, as well as construction contracts, conceptual estimating, and unit costs.
  • Proficient in using various takeoff software, particularly CostX or BlueBeam.
