Your Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the paint line process and respond to any deviations from acceptable parameters.
  • Conduct chemical assessments as per the checksheet to ensure the e-coat bath maintains the correct chemical balance.
  • Regularly monitor pH levels according to checksheet specifications.
  • Evaluate the concentration of various chemicals, including resins, pigments, and additives, ensuring compliance with specified limits.
  • Adjust chemical levels as necessary based on test outcomes to sustain the desired chemical equilibrium.
  • Thoroughly document all chemical checks and modifications to ensure traceability and accountability.
  • Regulate and adjust the temperature of the chemical bath to guarantee optimal coating conditions.
  • Conduct an inventory of all chemicals utilized in the e-coat process as directed by the Plant Management Team.
  • Adhere to proper storage and handling protocols for all chemicals to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Promptly report any significant issues to the Plant Management Team and supervisor, taking corrective actions as required.
  • Perform detailed quality inspections of coated components as per checksheet requirements.
  • Document and communicate any quality concerns, collaborating closely with the quality assurance team to identify root causes and implement corrective measures.
  • Follow the Plex daily PM Schedule.
  • Maintain filter beds, replace bag filters as necessary, and manage tank dumps and initial tank charges.
  • Ensure that suspect e-coat racks are reported to the maintenance team with a comprehensive description of required reviews/corrections.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure the e-coat line operates within regulatory standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following housekeeping standards.
  • Operate forklifts and manage chemical transport/handling.
  • Perform all other assigned tasks as necessary.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Commitment to continuous learning and openness to cross-training.
  • Team-oriented attitude with a strong sense of initiative and adaptability.
  • Familiarity with Marwood processes and procedures, as well as proficiency in computer skills.
  • Strong work ethic, excellent attendance, and punctuality.

Key Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 12, GED, or equivalent.
  • Excellent manual dexterity.
  • Possession of a Forklift License or the ability to obtain one.
  • Proficiency in computer skills across all required areas.
