This role acts as the lead person with regard to our frontline hourly team members by directing the activities of workers and processes in a vegetable production environment (processing, packaging, canning and supply chain) according to established schedules, safety and quality procedures while striving to continually improve all facets of the business.

**Responsibilities**:

- Contribute to the success of Lean initiatives, continuous improvement and data analytics;
- Contribute to the ongoing development and monitoring of the Sanitation program and Plant Hygiene via audits, Pic/Pec involvement, swab event, and data management;
- During the processing season review production for totes created, crop IDs, variety accuracy, sanitary lot accuracy, metal detection legends, positive enzyme legends, and chemical hold legends and adjustments;
- Lead blanching validations during processing season and interpret results;
- Plate micro from daily production, training technicians on the sampling program and plating, reading and the micro program, trending for KPIs;
- Review and handle Packaging daily production and releases as needed;
- Lead the development and audits for Glass Registry, complete related follow up as required;
- Conduct quarterly testing for ambient air, water and compressed air, assist with managing the results, follow up and risk assessments;
- Maintain the registries and documentation for glass, scales, temperature guns, pipettes, calibrated equipment;
- Ability to prepare Certificates of Analysis for all outbound shipments;
- Support the Food Safety Committee by conducting audits, MicroGo Tours, contribute to the data management and minutes of this committee, drive change through Food Safety Culture contributions;
- Perform H&S risk assessments as needed, FMEA and safe work instruction maintenance, deliver related training;
- Assist with the Outside Purchase Program, sampling, grading, and managing samples as needed.
- Clear and issue non-compliances, understanding of the follow-up required (can include micro plating and grading, COA checks, and supplier approvals checks, and non-conformances);
- Create and maintain benchmarking library and visual references materials for grading and defects for purchased ingredients, processed and packaged products (in collaboration with Corporate Supplier Quality Program, or Sales/Technical QA);
- Contribute to the development of Paperless program, document control, data management and potential trending of relevant KPIs;
- Support alignment of regional standardization of Process Controls;
- Support the Quality Department as for vacation coverage, training events, and other duties as assigned in both the hourly and salary positions, on any shift;
- Lead shelf life studies and innovations benchmarking as needed;
- Internal auditing for conformance to BRC standards, contribute to relevant follow-up;
- Contribute to Pic/Pec program and evolution of Sanitation/QA/Maintenance collaborative efforts;
- Contribute to ongoing training using Alchemy tools, deliver and develop materials;
- Must work in compliance with established safe work practices and procedures and report all unsafe or unhealthy conditions to the supervisor.

**Job Requirements**
- Able to work independently, use judgment, learn new skills quickly and adapt to changes in schedules;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Post-secondary education with Food, Laboratory, or Science background;
- Demonstrated mathematical ability;
- Understanding of GMPs and HACCP;

Pay: $62,613.00-$69,570.00 per year
