Job Title: Leisure Coordinator

Bethesda Home is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Leisure Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our recreation and sports department, you will be responsible for coordinating various programs and events that promote physical activity and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Development: Develop and implement new programs and services that meet the needs of our community, including recreation and sports activities.
  • Event Coordination: Plan and execute special events, such as tournaments, festivals, and workshops, that promote physical activity and community engagement.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise professional staff, program leaders, and instructors to ensure the delivery of high-quality programs and services.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks, such as data entry, record-keeping, and reporting, to support the smooth operation of the recreation and sports department.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Work Setting: Urban area, recreational facility/institution.
  • Tasks: Gather information on current government policies regarding recreation, sports, and physical activities; supervise professional staff, program leaders, and instructors; perform administrative tasks; coordinate special events.
  • Supervision: More than 20 people.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, judgement, organized, team player.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
