Bethesda Home is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Leisure Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our recreation services team, you will be responsible for coordinating and supervising various programs and events for our community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program Coordination: Gather information on current government policies regarding recreation, sports, and physical activities, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Supervision: Supervise professional staff, program leaders, and instructors, as well as volunteer staff, to ensure the smooth operation of our programs and events.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry, record-keeping, and communication with stakeholders.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate special events, such as festivals, workshops, and tournaments, to promote community engagement and participation.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Work Setting: Urban area, recreational facility/institution.
  • Supervision: More than 20 people.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Work under pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication, judgement, organized, team player.
