About the Role

Bethesda Home is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Leisure Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our recreation team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing leisure programs for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Planning and Implementation: Develop and implement leisure programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our clients.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and support a team of program leaders and instructors to ensure the smooth delivery of programs.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate special events and activities that promote socialization and community engagement.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with clients, staff, and stakeholders to ensure the success of programs.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Work Setting: Urban area, recreational facility/institution.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months.
  • Health Benefits: Dental plan, vision care benefits.
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Provides diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.
