Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our store management team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing store operations, and leading a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Drive Sales Growth: Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and implement strategies to achieve sales and profit goals.
  2. Manage Store Operations: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the store, including merchandise presentation, pricing, and store standards.
  3. Lead a Team: Recruit, train, and develop a team of associates to deliver exceptional customer service and achieve sales and profit goals.
  4. Asset Protection and Safety: Execute and monitor asset protection and safety controls to ensure a safe and secure shopping environment.
  5. Customer Service: Serve customers as an ambassador for the store, resolving customer complaints and issues in a timely and professional manner.
  6. Community Involvement: Participate in and support community events and develop relationships with key community groups to enhance the store's role in the community.
  7. Performance Management: Conduct regular store meetings, communicate operational direction and initiatives, and drive engagement and recognition among associates.
  8. Compliance: Comply with all Company standards and procedures, including cash handling and merchandise control.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in retail management, preferably with experience in a similar role at Walmart Canada.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team of associates.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and achieving sales and profit goals.
