About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cleaning Operations Manager to join our team at BEST - For A Cleaner World. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our cleaning services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hire and Train Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Oversee the daily activities of cleaning staff, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Inspect Sites and Facilities: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that our facilities are clean, safe, and meet our high standards.
  • Prepare Budgets and Cost Estimates: Develop and manage budgets and cost estimates for cleaning services, ensuring that we are operating within our means.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify opportunities to improve our cleaning services and recommend additional services such as painting, repair work, or replacement of furnishings and equipment.
  • Maintain Financial Records: Ensure that all financial records are accurate and up-to-date, including payroll, invoices, and expenses.
  • Coordinate with Other Departments: Work closely with other departments to ensure that our cleaning services are aligned with their needs and goals.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding, requiring a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent written communication, initiative, judgement, and reliability.
