Senior PHP Full Stack Engineer

Overview of the Role:

  • Focused on the architecture and development of a client-centric Digital Portal utilizing Drupal 9.
  • Engaging in daily design discussions aimed at enhancing scalability and adhering to best practices in design and implementation.
  • Crafting technical solutions and strategies for software applications, while detailing technical designs, deployment, and implementation methodologies.
  • Evaluating and interpreting business strategies and requirements, assisting in task breakdown, scoping, and estimation.
  • Working within a high-performing, adaptable team environment where peer reviews, mentorship, and quality assurance are integral to daily operations.
  • Full-stack responsibilities: approximately 70% back-end and 30% front-end development.

Essential Candidate Qualifications:

Required Skills:

1) Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Full Stack PHP Web Developer, proficient in MVC frameworks (Laravel, Symfony) and CMS.

2) At least 3 years of experience with Cloud solutions, preferably GCP (other options like Azure are acceptable).

3) 3+ years of experience with Containerized Architecture, deploying applications on containerized cloud platforms such as Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF), Kubernetes, and Istio Service Mesh.

4) 3+ years of experience utilizing Docker.

5) 3+ years of experience with version control systems (e.g., GIT).

Desirable Skills:

1) Experience in Drupal 8+ development is a significant advantage.

2) Proficiency in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.

3) Familiarity with Jenkins for CI/CD pipeline construction and tools like SonarQube, Fortify, Web Inspect, and Back Duck for ensuring code quality.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • High adaptability to changing environments.

Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Cloud certifications are considered an asset.
