Position Overview

D & N Metals Co. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy-duty machinery.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a similar role or equivalent experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and conduct inspections on equipment to identify faults and malfunctions.
  • Utilize computerized and other diagnostic tools to assess the extent of repairs needed.
  • Manage parts ordering and maintain an organized inventory.
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective components as necessary.
  • Document maintenance activities and keep accurate records.
  • Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets performance standards and manufacturer specifications.
  • Perform cleaning, lubrication, and general maintenance tasks.
  • Service attachments and working tools to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Verify and repair emission control systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance as required.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
  • Role involves physically demanding tasks.
  • Requires strong attention to detail and hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and demonstrate manual dexterity.
  • Overtime may be necessary based on workload.
